On Sunday, 7th of February in Warsaw took place drawing of groups for eliminations to Euro 2012. This event was relating by six hundred of journalists from over one hundred countries. Defending champions - Spain, will play with Czech Republic, Scotland, Latvia and Lichtenstein.
As a hosts, Poland and Ukraine will surely take part in the final tournament with other fourteen teams selected by eliminations.
Drawing took place in the Culture and Science Palace in Warsaw. As organizers assured, it persisted only one hour during which fifty-one football teams from Europe has been assigned to nine groups.
At the beginning prime minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, has welcomed all the guests and he spoke about arrangements for championship. He has commended Polish and Ukrainian co-operation. After his speech drawing has started. It was conducting by famous former football players from Poland and Ukraine - Zbigniew Boniek, Andrzej Szarmach, Andrij Shevchenko and Oleg B?ogin.
Eliminations will start at the beginning of September 2010. The end is predicted for November 2011 and then we will meet all sixteen teams which will take part in the final tournament of European Football Championships in 2012.
