Well, it is according to those who participated in a survey conducted by a Dutch tourism portal Zoover. The survey's objective was to create a list of the best European cities basing on tourists' opinions. Krakow ended up on the second position, giving place only to Berlin.

Krakow
Krakow

The ranking was based on the feedback given by over 50 thousand tourists. Krakow received top grades in such categories as atmosphere, night life and 5 and 4-star hotels. It was also highly rated for its culinary offer. The Polish city obtained ranks higher than, among others, Rome, Paris, London or Prague.

The vice-president of the city, Magdalena Sroka, is very proud of what Krakow has achieved and is sure that the future will be even better. ''Despite the European crisis, in 2011 Krakow hosted over 5% more tourists than a year earlier. Our magic is working and it will still attract people from all over the world.'', she claims boldly.

Of course opinions may differ and it's impossible to determine which city is in fact the best one, so we will leave the question 'Is Krakow better than London?' unanswered. It has to be admitted, however, that so many people can't be wrong – the magical city of Krakow is surely one of the most tourist-friendly spots in Europe.
