ZOO
Silesian Zoological Garden has a large number of pavilions opened to the public, allowing our guests to visit the place in the winter. All pavilions in the zoo have driveways and railings allowing to sightsee by disabled persons. One of the latest investment in the garden is the creation of mini-zoo. Children's Garden allows direct contact with mild animals under the supervision of zoo staff. The brand new valley of the dinosaurs is also very popular among the visitors - the only exhibition of this type of extinct reptiles in Europe. Large number of alleys in the garden, among the rich, often exotic green, the location of the park and garden close to the center of large Silesian cities, is for many people the only easily accessible place of rest and recreation.
Spodek
Sports Hall "Spodek" exists since 1971. It is a set of objects with original architectural solutions. The building is considered the largest sports hall in the country (capacity max. 12,000 people). On the 9 ha area sports complex there are: an artificial skating rink, gyms, hotel, restaurant, sauna. Main Hall is a place for many events, which may take place directly on the parquet with the capacity of 2200 m2. In the "Spodek" There are organized sporting events, cultural, entertainment, exhibition and trade fair. The building is considered as a symbol of the Katowice city.
The Valley of three ponds
The Valley of the Three ponds – it is a large park located in the Katowice’s district Paderewski-Muchowiec. The name comes from the three large very distinguishable watter basins. Adjacent to the valley is an airport Katowice-Muchowiec. Within the park there is parking and a number of bicycle paths. It is a green heart of Katowice.
