Sports Hall "Spodek" exists since 1971. It is a set of objects with original architectural solutions. The building is considered the largest sports hall in the country (capacity max. 12,000 people). On the 9 ha area sports complex there are: an artificial skating rink, gyms, hotel, restaurant, sauna. Main Hall is a place for many events, which may take place directly on the parquet with the capacity of 2200 m2. In the "Spodek" There are organized sporting events, cultural, entertainment, exhibition and trade fair. The building is considered as a symbol of the Katowice city.

The Valley of three ponds

The Valley of Three Ponds is a large park located in the Katowice’s district Paderewski-Muchowiec. The name comes from the three large very distinguishable watter basins.
