Krakow Transport

Unfortunately there is no subway so the fastest way to travel in Krakow are trams. There are now 25 daily lines but they do not cover the whole city like buses. There are 70 daily lines, 60 suburbs lines and 9 night lines. Totla number of buses is 506 mainly low floor(air -conditioned, comfortable and adjusted for disabled persons). The average age of buses is exactly 7.34 years, which gives a leading position in the modernization of fleet in Poland.


During the day both trams and buses run every 10 minutes except for rush hours the average time of circulation diminishes to 5 minutes. During the night only buses run every 30 minutes. Costs of the ticket for one ride is 2,50 pln.


In Krakow there are also lot of taxis corporations. Each one of them have different prices but sometimes it is good to try to negotiate with taxi drivers the prices.
