Until 26th December Krakow inhabitants and visitors can buy all kinds of Christmas articles right on the Old Market Square. Merchants set their stands next to famous cloth hall and they offer hundreds of diverse products like food, souvenirs and ornamentation.
This is a great opportunity to meet Polish Christmas customs, get some unique souvenir or taste something what appears at Christmas Eve's table in Poland every year. Have you ever tried pierogi with mushrooms and cabbage or borsch with ravioli? These are the most popular Polish Christmas dishes. Don't forget also about carp fish and kutia – delicious sweet made with honey, cereals and poppy seed. Of course among the articles offered on Market Square there are much more other things than food! If you're curious how we spend Christmas in Poland, you should find a moment for a walk in Krakow Market Square.
Merchants will stay at the Old Square until the 2nd day of Christmas. Only three weeks left so if you didn't decide to visit Krakow yet, better hurry up. For the next Christmas Market you'll have to wait for a whole year.
