Almost all important places in Krakow are within walking distance from the most of hotels. That's why public transport isn't very important matter and you don't have to ride around the city. Of course if you want to explore more, meet not only Old Town or Kazimierz ditrict there are helpful means of transport, which will let you reach every place in the city.
Krakow Tram
Also good: Buses - little bit more crowded and often stay in traffic jams, but can reach more places than trams.
We don’t recommend: Taxi - it's very comfortable way of traveling, but you have to be careful. If you don't know the city, drivers may take a longer way, so you'll have to pay more
At night: Night line buses – they are much more useful at night, when there is no traffic jams, and much cheaper than taxis, which take double price after 10 p.m.
