One week contemporary music celebration - Sacrum Profanum Festival will start on 11th September in Krakow.

This annual not-to-be-missed event presents both classical and sophisticated popular music, each time focusing on music from different parts of world. The 9th edition is devoted to American minimalism genre and the 75 birthday of Steve Reich.

The festival will feature such artists as Steve Reich, Johny Greenwood (Radiohead), Adrian Utley (Portishead), Aphex Twin, Tom Verlaine and Leszek Mozdzer. All the concerts will be organised in post-industrial spaces of Krakow , e.g. Oscar Schindler's Factory or Steelworks of Nowa Huta. The atmosphere of these places seems to be perfect for a meeting (clash?) of "the sacred" - classical music, and "the profane" - modern popular music.

The result of this mixture of both lower and higher genres are always appreciated by the audience and critiques - Sacrum Profanum is currently considered one of the most interesting European events attracting more and more fans wishing to explore exciting musical horizons and see if there are actually any boundaries of classical music.

We invite you to take part in this remarkable event and discover - music of the world and atmosphere of Krakow!
