The biggest underground exhibition in the World, one of the most modern museums in Europe and totally unique tourist attraction of Poland was opened at 24th September in Krakow. Museum placed under the Krakow Old Square and Clothes Hall is another must-see for all of those who visit former capital of Poland.

Underground Museum in Krakow presents over 800 years of Krakow’s history. Archeological work which had place in this area provided a few thousand exhibits even from times before foundation of the city. Over 700 of them are presented on the exhibition. We can find there historical craft tools, remains of over 500 years old buildings and graveyard which was placed here in 11th century.

Underground Museum Opening

Museum is situated 4 meters below the Krakow Old Square and it occupies surface of 4 thousand square meters. It uses high technology and many interactive, multimedia gadgets. Most of exhibits presented in museum are mapped in 3D technology and visitors can see it from all sites on the screens.

Underground exhibition contains plenty of other attractions so it’s really worth to visit it during stay in Krakow. Tickets prices aren’t very high for such modern and expensive exhibition – normal ticket costs 13 zlotys, students will pay only 10. Museum is opened every day from 8am to 8pm, expect of Tuesdays when it’s closed at 4 am. On Mondays entrance is free.
