The must-sees!

It's worth to pay attention on the main square, especially fantastic town hall, one of the most important renaissance buildings in Europe. It was built in the turn of the 13th and 14th century, but its actual shape came from the period between 1550 - 1560 when town hall was renovated by Italian architect Giovanni Baptysta Quadro. Nowadays it is the seat of Poznan City Museum.

Another historical place is the Town Scale. Because of a complicated history, Poznan had different weight and measurement systems, so every transaction had to be weighed individually. Today there is an important cultural center here. You can see some art galleries, performances, happenings and other events.

Glorious remain of the inglorious past

During your Poznan sightseeing you can't miss the Emperors Castle. The architecture of this place is breath-taking. It also has a rich history, so it's good to drop by and see it on your own. This is probably the only thing for which we could be grateful to the Germans and period of Polish partition.
