Shopping Centers? Not in Zakopane!

In our opinion shopping in Zakopane is a waste of time. If You want to buy clothes, shoes or similar articles You should choose bigger city. There are some small boutiques and other shops on the main streets of the town, but prices are high and there aren’t any unique trades to buy. However If you really want to spent some money You should focus on crafts, mountaineers products and one of its kind, Zakopane style souvenirs. In our opinion shopping in Zakopane is a waste of time. Zakopane is really small town, You won’t find here shopping malls or trade centers. It’s good, because giant blocks made of glass and concrete would look awful among beautiful mountains landscape. Where to make some shopping then? Krupowki street is ideal.

Among small stands along the main street of Zakopane You’ll find everything what is worth to buy here. You can’t live this place without such curiosities like oscypek – original mountaineers sheep cheese, hand made, woolen slippers or socks and ciupaga – mountaineers axe (remember that you can’t hold it in hand baggage during flight). Good as a souvenirs are also wooden, decorated dishes and cutlery or pieces of folk clothing like beautiful caps with peacock’s feather. Those things won’t let You to forget about beautiful town in Polish Tatra Mountains.
