The distance between Krakow and Auschwitz is about 40 miles. The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Can children visit the memorial? down up

It is not advised by the Auschwitz Museum that children under the age of 14 visit the camps as the stories and photos are violent and cruel. However, it is the decision of the parents. Please note it is not allowed to bring prams and strollers to the campsite.

Is Wieliczka Salt Mine far from Krakow? down up

Wieliczka Salt Mine is located around 8 miles from the center of Krakow. Estimated time of the journey is 45 min - 1 h.

Is the whole Wieliczka Salt Mine Tour underground? down up

Yes, the whole Salt Mine tour takes place underground in the chambers and passages of the old mine.

I'm an elderly person, will I need to walk a lot? down up

The tour is not recommended for people with walking difficulties as it requires ascending and descending long staircases. Lift service is available onsite however the cost is 500 PLN and it is not guaranteed.

Where is the meeting point for the tour? down up

In case of a standard Tour, we choose the most convenient meeting point near the Old Town, in the Jewish district area -Starowislna 65, Krakow.

How long it the trip? down up

The estimated duration of the Auschwitz & Salt Mine tour is 12 h. On some days, we might have a break up to 1 h between 1st trip and 2nd trip.

How many breaks do I have during the tour? down up

We offer 2 breaks at the Auschwitz Museum which are about 30 min in total and 1 break , at Salt Mine Museum up to 20 min. Between both tours, we usually have 1 h of free time in Krakow (but it is not guaranteed and depends on the date)

Is lunch included? down up

No, the lunch is not included in the price of the tour. There is a possibility to organize it for you in the Private Transfers Option.

How should I dress? What is a dress code? down up

AUSCHWITZ: On the grounds of Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, visitors should behave with the appropriate solemnity and respect, and dress in a manner befitting a place of this nature (no shorts, sleeveless tops, mini-dresses & skirts are allowed) WIELICZKA SALT MINE: Warm clothes for the tour are recommended as it might get chilly underground. The temperature in Wieliczka Salt Mine is usually around 14 degrees Celcius.
