Kashubia Land Tour
On the Kashubia Tour, you will learn about one of the most beautiful regions of Poland. Discover fascinating Pomeranian culture and admire panoramic views that will take your breath away. See traditional Kashubian architecture and go inside one building that is...built upside down! See the longest wooden board...but if that sounds a bit boring or if you do not specialize in wood crafts, see the world’s largest piano - it is impressive!
The Kashubia region is home to one of several national minorities in Poland. The people of the region are known for their handicraft products, such as embroidery and pottery. The people living in the vicinity speak Kashubian, a sort of hybrid of Polish and German. However, due to strict language categories, it is not considered a dialect, even though an average Pole cannot understand this language at all.
Bring a bottle of water and a hat for this incredible all-day Kashubia region tour. You will meet your guide at the doorstep of your accommodation to be transferred to the Kashubia region. You will do some light hiking up Wiezyca Hill, see Ostrzyckie Lake, and see the amazing panorama at Ostrzyce.
For your cultural education during the one-day Kashubia tour, we will go to the Centre of Education and Regional Promotion in Szymbark, which works to promote the Kashubia region. Afterwards, since Kashubians are known for their pottery, we will participate in a pottery workshop. We will then head to a traditional Kashubian lunch and, once everyone is stuffed, the tour continues to the Necel Family Museum of Pottery, where you will be able to try your hand at making something for yourself!
