Before you visit

Where do we meet for the tour? down up

Usually the tour starts at the main entrance of Kazimierz Hotel which is located in the Jewish District of Krakow. This enables the group to make a route during which they will see the most important sites connected with the Jewish history of Krakow.

Will we travel by bus or car during the sightseeing? down up

This is a walking tour and it is generally taken on foot. On request, however, the group may use public transport to get to Schindler Museum.

How much time does the tour last? down up

The tour is divided into two parts. The first part consists of a walking tour with an English speaking guide and lasts approximately 1-1,5 hours. The time depends on the group size, their walking abilities etc. If you have chosen Quality or Lux Tour, the tour continues to Ghetto Square and the Ghetto wall which takes about 40-50 minutes. Then the guide leads you to Schindler Factory Museum where your time is unlimited and you can stay there as long as you wish.

Where do we go during the tour? down up

During the tour, you will visit all important sites connected with Jewish culture: Jewish synagogue, ritual bathhouses, ancient streets and more. During Premium or Private Tour you will also see Ghetto Square and Schindler Factory Museum. The guide also provides many interesting facts and curiosities.

How much time do we have at Schindler Museum? down up

The time at Schindler Museum is unlimited.

Will the guide accompany us at the museum? down up

The guide assistance finishes at the museum where you are left to see the exhibits yourself.

I don't speak Polish, how am I supposed to understand the descriptions of the exhibits? down up

The exhibits at Schindler Museum are described in English.

Do we need to pay to visit the museum? down up

The entrance ticket to the Museum is already included in the price of Quality and Lux Tour. If you are not interested in the museum, you are also welcome to choose Basic Tour.

How do we come back from the Museum? down up

You can either come back on foot, by public transport or by taxi (there are always some waiting at the entrance of the museum or you can ask the information desk to call for a taxi). The guide always tells you precisely how to get back to the city centre.

What can I see at the Schindler Museum? down up

The Schindler Museum is a unique journey in time and in no way resembles the traditional museum concept. Created by Michal Urban, a set decorator, and Lukasz Czuj, a film director, the exhibition delivers an extraordinary story by means of sculptures, photography and moving pictures. You will have the only opportunity to walk through Krakow streets of the 1940s and see everyday life of city dwellers, before suddenly entering into the brutal and inhumane world of the Krakow ghetto. The objective of Schindler Museum is to let visitors as if touch history and experience the emotions of those living under cruel occupation, by using modern equipment and innovative technologies.

I would like to say that we had a very good guide on 11th August who took us to the Synagogues and Jewish Sector. It's just such a shame that I was unable to go personally into the factory. I hope next time
