Why this tour & what you will see?
Wieliczka Salt Mine is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the best form of time travel for history buffs. It’s visited for the breathtaking views and health benefits induced by its naturally filtered saline microclimate. During the tour, you will have a chance to explore a salt mine that was in constant use from the 1300s to 2007 and, through looking at the artwork etched into the rock, you will get a sense of what it felt like to be a miner hundreds of years ago. Apparently, if you lick the walls at any given point of the tour, they will be salty. Not that we’ve tried it…

The driver was very nice and on time. I was very impressed with the guide whose name is unknown. He was very knowledgeable, spoke English well and could articulate the events in a manner that was clear, engaging and interesting. He was very serious but very good. I really liked him and learned a lot. It was an enriching experience.
